Warm Cocao Porridge
A different kind of porridge to what you might be used to. We don’t use oats for this one to avoid the high carb crash a few hours later. Still pretty hearty and delicious though so I encourage you to try it!

Ingredients

400 mls coconut cream
-
100mls water

1 tsp vanilla extract or powder

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 banana - chopped

1 cup quinoa flakes

2 tbs cocao
-
1 tsp honey (optional)
Method:
- Pour the coconut cream into the saucepan on low heat. Pour 100mls water into the empty cream, swill it around and add it to the saucepan
- Add the vanilla, cinnamon, banana, honey (optional)
- Allow to simmer for 3-4 minutes
- Add the quinoa flakes and stir continuously until fully combined
- Add the cocao and allow to simmer for couple of minutes until fully combined and porridge begins to thicken
- Remove from the heat and set aside, top with some toasted nuts, chia or berries
