Spicy Chicken Wings
Everyone loves a chicken wing IF they’re done right. No one likes a bland chicken wing. What’s the point? You have to bring great flavour to a piece of meat which is nearly all bone. Chicken wings are like ribs. If you’re going to get your hands dirty it has to be worth it. And these guys are definitely worth it. Make a stack and serve them at a fancy shin dig, a relaxed bbq or just plonk them on the dinner table and watch them get gobbled up.

Ingredients

12 chicken wings (organic)

1 small brown onion - finely chopped

3 garlic cloves - finely chopped

1 cm ginger - peeled and finely chopped

1tsp cumin
-
2 tsp ground chipotle
-
1 long red chilli - finely chopped
-
1 tbs honey
-
3-4 tbs olive or coconut oil
-
pinch sea salt
Method:
- Pop the oven on 220 degrees
- In a large mixing bowl throw in the onion, garlic, chilli, ginger, cumin, chipotle and honey
- Combine
- Add the oil and combine
- Once the spice blend in thoroughly blended add the chicken
- Mix well to ensure the chicken is coated
- Remove from the bowl and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper
- Season with sea salt
- Reduce heat of oven to 190
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until cooked through and crispy
- Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes
