Rump Steak w Anchovy Butter
Steak was an all-time favourite throughout both my wife’s pregnancies. She craved steak like nothing else (oh, and mashed potatoes with lashings of butter). One morning I woke up to her sitting on the balcony eating a gigantic rump steak with left over anchovy butter all over it. So I guess I owe this recipe to her. *Note: you do NOT have to be pregnant to enjoy this dish.

Ingredients

2 rump steaks

1 tbs olive oil

2 tbs anchovy butter
Method:
- Remove the steaks from the fridge 30 mins before cookng
- Heat the olive oil on a high heat
- Season both sides of the steak and place into the pan
- Depending on thickness of the steak cook for 3 minutes on both sides – cook time varies accordingly to preference and thickness of steak
- Toward the last 2 mins of cooking add 1 tbs butter
- Once cooked to your liking, remove from the heat and allow to rest for 3 minutes
- Add a tbs of anchovy butter of each steak
