I not sure I’m technically even allowed to use the word Nutella for copyright reasons but can’t see them com-ing after me so I’ll risk it for now. I used Nutella as a small case study in my book to highlight the need to read food labels. Nutella is a hazelnut spread however hazelnuts are not the dominant ingredient - sugar is! So this recipe is dedicated to all you Nutella fans that want a clean version.
1 cup macadamias
1/2 cup Brazil nuts
1/2 cup pecans
2 tbs cocao
1 tbs chia seeds
1 tsp honey (optional)
- Throw all the ingredients into a blender and process for 1-2 minutes or until a smooth consistency has been achieved.
- Use activated nuts if you can or roasted raw. Adjust the amount of cocao accordingly to your preference.
